Founded by Don Soechting in 1991, the company remains family-owned and operated today. Don continues to work with longtime customers, review selected estimates, and advise our crews on unusual construction situations where his decades of experience are especially valuable. In 1996, he became Central Virginia's exclusive Gutter Topper® dealer.

1994 — Started Over
Don Soechting founded the gutter company in Charlottesville in 1991 with a used U-Haul truck and a new gutter machine, fabricating gutters for local contractors. By 1993, he was advertising to homeowners in the Yellow Pages.

In 1994, a generator exploded and the new company truck burned, destroying equipment and tools. Don replaced the truck, rebuilt his equipment, and went back to work.

In 1996, Don was granted the exclusive Gutter Topper® dealership for Central Virginia, beginning a relationship that continues today. Over the years, Don made numerous trips to the Gutter Topper factory in Ohio for product and installation training.

Over the decades, our crews have installed rain gutters on thousands of homes and more than 300,000 linear feet of gutter protection throughout Charlottesville and Central Virginia—wearing out four work trucks along the way.
